Mark held c-suite positions for over 20 years at Kimley-Horn, one of the premier engineering design, planning, and environmental consulting firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Kimley-Horn has more than 7,000 employees in 115 offices across the U.S.

He joined Kimley-Horn in 1989. In 1992, he became chief financial officer. As president (2002–2009) and chairman (2009–2015), he oversaw years of strong growth for the firm and its initial ranking among Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, where Kimley-Horn has now appeared 16 times.

Mark brings to the CAPTRUST Board of Directors significant professional expertise running a large corporation, with a deep understanding of the strategic, operational and business challenges faced by national firms.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business from Wake Forest University and his Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. An enthusiastic resident of downtown Raleigh, he and his wife, Tricia, have three sons and two daughters.
