Frank Bub is a senior director, head of wealth management consulting, and is based in the Raleigh, NC, office.
Frank joined CAPTRUST from BNY Mellon’s Pershing Advisor Solutions in 2019. He serves as a senior director, head of wealth management consulting, working closely with the firm’s financial advisors. In the nearly three decades Frank has been a financial industry professional, he has gained substantial experience in wealth management and financial planning services for individuals, families, and executives. Frank is an accomplished leader, proven executive, and passionate advocate for the fiduciary standard and the independent investment advisor community.
Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Frank was the Eastern Head of Relationship Management and Consulting with BNY Mellon’s Pershing Advisor Solutions. He led a team of consultants who engaged with large, growth-minded, professionally managed registered investment advisory firms in the following key areas: strategic planning, human capital, growth and profitability, efficiency, and risk. Prior to joining BNY Mellon in 2012, Frank was the managing director of Schwab Executive Services, a wealth management and comprehensive financial planning service for high-net-worth executives. Earlier in his career at Charles Schwab, Frank was a key member of the leadership team that developed, launched, and led Schwab Private Client, an in-house registered investment advisor that has grown into one of the largest in the country. He also led the retail branch network in New England through a significant strategic restructure and transition and was a director of retail business development in San Francisco. He studied economics at the State University of New York at Buffalo and has been in the industry since 1991.
Frank lives with his wife and three daughters just south of Boston, MA. During the warmer months, you’ll find the family boating, swimming, and exploring the “spit” at the mouth of the North River in Scituate, MA, or visiting Martha’s Vineyard. In winter, skiing in Vermont and New Hampshire, or sledding and skating near home are favorite activities.
