Gary Davis is an institutional retirement plan advisor based in Greenville, SC.

CAPTRUST welcomed Gary to our team in 2021. He is passionate about educating individuals and families, qualified retirement plan sponsors, and nonprofits on the intricacies of retirement planning. Gary specializes in advising corporations on their qualified plans as well as helping their employees prepare for retirement.

Gary joined us from Nachman Norwood & Parrott—a wealth management consultancy firm. Gary joined the wealth management industry in 1995. He enjoyed a successful career at Wachovia Securities, where he served as the associate vice president of investments before joining Nachman Norwood & Parrott. Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Clemson University.

When he’s not in the office, Gary enjoys spending time with family and anything that will get him outside, whether it’s gardening, running, hiking, bird-watching, cycling, or flying. Little known fact—in 2014, Gary set a world altitude record with his electric, ultralight airplane. He’s also very passionate about giving back to the community through service.
