Thomas Oliphint is a wealth management financial advisor based in San Antonio, TX.

CAPTRUST welcomed Tommy in September of 2021. He has faced almost every imaginable financial situation throughout his 35 year career. He works with wealthy families, family businesses, and closely held businesses. He prepares the assets for family heirs, but more importantly preparing the heirs for the assets. This type of planning helps families move from traditional wealth to ultimate wealth.

Tommy joined us from Covenant Multifamily Office where he served as senior family wealth advisor. Prior to Covenant, he had founded and owned One Advocate Group, which for 25 years, helped families make conscious decisions about their futures rather than decisions by default.

He is a native Texan, growing up in Taylor, TX, where he played on a state championship baseball team, and earned a scholarship to play baseball at Baylor University, where he played shortstop. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Baylor University.

In the community, Tommy has served on many boards. Currently, he is President of Kinetic Kids and Treasurer of KLRN Endowment Fund. In the past, he has served as a board member on San Antonio Youth Literacy, Elder at Community Bible Church, McAllister Little League Board, Baylor Bear Foundation, and Baylor Letterman’s Association.

Tommy enjoys spending time with his wife Rita, and their five children, 11 grandchildren, and five great grand children.
