Michelle Mahoney is a wealth management financial advisor based in West Des Moines, IA.

Michelle joined CAPTRUST in 2022 from Generations Wealth Management and has been in the industry since 1995.

Michelle co-founded Generations Wealth Management with CAPTRUST colleague Julie Fuller as a multifamily office and investment firm in 2009. A very tax-focused, holistic approach is taken to every client portfolio in order to achieve the investor’s personal, family, and charitable goals in the most streamlined and tax-efficient manner.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from Iowa State University and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. Outside of work, she is involved with DSM FEW (Financial Executive Women), the Blank Park Zoo investment committee, and West Des Moines Parks and Rec. Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, paddleboarding, and hiking our National Parks.
