Abby Psyhogeos is a wealth management financial advisor in Portland, Maine.
Over the past four decades, Abby has built a practice working primarily with high-net-worth individuals and multi-generational families to help them think about, develop, and communicate their long-term investment, as well as their estate and financial planning, goals. She has longstanding relationships with many entrepreneurial families and has immensely enjoyed watching them build wealth and helping educate them and their growing families about investments and behavioral finance.
She believes that long-term performance is achieved by making the appropriate decisions when initiating an investment plan and then making adjustments over time as life and goals evolve.
Abby works with her clients to develop asset allocation targets and investment goals for consolidated and individual accounts, helping clients understand which asset classes and strategies best fit their needs.
She began her career in wealth management right out college at a startup RIA in Boston called Bainco International Investors. In her 30 years at Bainco, she became the second-largest equity holder. She served many functions through the years to include opening a West Coast office in San Francisco as managing director of the portfolio strategist team and president of the firm. After a brief stint at F.L. Putnam, Abby opened the Boston Financial Management office in Portland, Maine, and manages that office as CAPTRUST now.
Abby earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Bowdoin College.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family. She especially enjoys family trips as well as hiking or running with her daughter, watching her son play basketball, and traveling, playing golf, and watching sports with her husband.
She’s also deeply involved with a foundation for Alzheimer’s research and is passionate about helping the research community find treatment and eventually a cure for this disease.
