Michael Coyne is an institutional retirement plan advisor based in Bellevue, WA.

Michael joined CAPTRUST in 2023 from Trutina Financial and serves as a senior consultant and relationship manager. He works with retirement plans held by small businesses and provides oversight of the investments while guiding his clients through regulatory changes and optimizing plan provisions to help them reach their goals. Prior to joining Trutina, Michael spent nine years in the Air Force as a mechanic on the A-10 Thunderbolt, referred to as the “Warthog.” After obtaining his degree in finance, he joined Milliman, where he was a consultant for 13 years and provided advice on plan design, compliance requirements and regulatory revisions to medium-sized retirement plans.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Central Washington University and the designations of Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), and Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA). Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, visiting National Parks, golfing, and running half-marathons.
