Timothy Egan is an institutional advisor based in Chicago, IL.

Tim joined CAPTRUST in 2021 from Ellwood Associates. As a principal and financial advisor, he is responsible for providing investment advisory services to clients with a focus on not-for-profit hospital/healthcare institutions, corporate retirement plans, endowments, and foundations. Tim’s focus is to help clients achieve their financial objectives through disciplined, methodical strategies, appropriate risk and return profiles, and a strong commitment to client partnership.

Prior to joining the firm, Tim led Ellwood’s healthcare practice, was a member of the board of directors, and was a member of the traditional manager research committee.

Tim has worked at Stratford Advisory Group, a Chicago-based investment consulting firm where he spearheaded the firm’s manager research activities. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.
