CAPTRUST’s Jon Strickland, Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor, was named to NAPA’s Top 50 under 40 “Young Guns” list for 2015. Strickland was acknowledged on the NAPA portal, and promoted in NAPA Net Daily. In addition, NAPA Net–The Magazine’s summer issue includes a feature article, “Generation Next,” alongside a two-page spread of all the winners.
Fifty of the top defined contribution advisors in the country have been named to the list based on a combination of voting by NAPA members and a profile of their business. These young plan advisors are recognized as future industry leaders and seem eager to step up to the job. Though some are concerned about whether younger people will be attracted to the financial services industry, NAPA’s list shows that the retirement advisory business is healthy, with promising new leaders emerging.
Strickland joined CAPTRUST in 2004 and is responsible for providing retirement plan advisory services to corporate fiduciaries. He is certified as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) by the Center for Fiduciary Studies in association with the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business. Strickland serves on the Board of Directors at East Carolina University, focusing on oversight and governance of the university’s foundation.
