CAPTRUST Chief Operating Officer Ben Goldstein was recognized by the Triangle Business Journal in its inaugural class of C-Suite Awards winners. Goldstein is one of 12 executives in North Carolina’s Research Triangle identified as the best of the best in corporate leadership. This inaugural class was evaluated and selected based on the nominees’ impact on their organizations’ success.
As COO, head of the firm’s business operations group, and a member of CAPTRUST’s executive committee, Goldstein is tasked with ensuring that the company’s workforce strives for operational excellence, which in turn creates capacity for the firm’s financial advisors, allowing them to focus on clients and organic growth. “We have quintupled in size since Ben joined the firm, which is due in part to his leadership in areas such as client service, technology, law, and finance, as well as his support of our culture and the overall health of the organization,” says John Curry, senior director of marketing. “An incredibly humble individual, when notified of this recognition, Ben immediately attributed this award to the success of CAPTRUST and all the wonderful employees of the firm.”
Goldstein directs and manages all operational activities across the firm, including client services, compliance, performance reporting, finance, human resources, administration, application development, IT, integration, and marketing. Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Goldstein served as president of The Advisory Group, LLC, a boutique consulting firm that advises businesses in the areas of finance, investment banking, technology, and real estate. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Ben is an active board member of Triangle Capital Corporation (TCAP) and the YMCA of the Triangle.
