OCIO for Pension Plans

An increasing number of defined benefit plans are now delegating investment management to an outsourced chief investment officer, or OCIO. This can be an individual advisor or an advisory firm. Because they are given investment discretion, OCIOs are sometimes described as discretionary portfolio managers, or simply discretion. This video explains some of the benefits and considerations of engaging an OCIO.
